I have a great Derek Jeter story. His retirement year the Yankees played the Cardinals in St. Louis; it was so great what Derek did. I was one of the only ones around with a Yankees shirt, a white Nike cotton shirt. They see my shirt, see me staring, and Ill just stare. That's our Yankees! And I'm field side, third base side. I was embarrassed at first, thats our Yankees. I'm watching Teixeira, Cano and Jeter standing there out at shortstop/ shallow outfield talking and looking looking at me look at them and we're all just staring, they're talking and I'm locked in. I didnt wanna embarrass myself lol. And Derek, hes so cool, he says something to them, turns and takes one or a half step and jumps into the air like the Jeter/Jordan Logo. It was one of the coolest things ever. They look over a bit more. I dont know if I waved or what. I just stared. We just watched, looked alike. I never thanked them, I looked over in the visiting dugout which I was seated by. Those guys gave me and those around one of the best moments, those moments were the best moments of that day or that year.
